Commissioned by Silverstein Properties, Mr. Gretsuk was engaged to resolve a highly complex challenge within a landmark Financial District property—integrating 40 passenger elevator cabs and 40 lobby entrances into an architecturally significant space where standard solutions fell short.

Mr. Gretsuk developed a bespoke design that carefully balances modern performance with historic integrity, preserving and elevating the building’s original character while delivering a refined, contemporary elevator experience.

Key design elements included:

• White laminated glass panels with precision oxidized bronze inlays, creating a sophisticated, layered aesthetic

• Custom-fabricated bronze bar grilles, meticulously designed to mirror and extend the ornate geometry of the existing lobby ceiling

• Integrated LED arrival indicators, seamlessly embedded above each entrance to introduce modern functionality without disrupting the historic visual language

Every component was engineered and fabricated with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring the elevators and entrances harmonize with the building’s legacy while meeting today’s technical and performance standards.
